Philadelphia Gas Works Intern - Project Management in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The PGW Internship Program is designed for students currently enrolled FULL-TIME at an accredited college or university with a sophomore classification or above ONLY.

This Internship is designed for students that are available to work throughout the academic and calendar year.

  • Assists the Enterprise Solution Consultant in creating and maintaining project documentation including project organization charts, distribution lists, project logs, project schedules, requirements documents, meeting minutes, and status reports.

  • Balance multiple priorities and organize their time effectively.

  • Identify and solve problems and, if needed, escalate issues appropriately.

  • Use of interpersonal skills to influence/accomplish work without formal authority.

  • Knowledge of Natural Gas Utility industry is a plus.

  • Self-motivated/pro-active and with ability to multi-task.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Attentive during meetings and capturing good meeting notes and Action Items.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project and MS Project Online.

  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills

  • Be a full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited university or college pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or other related field of study

  • Be in their Sophomore year or higher.

  • Be in good academic standing

  • Be able to commit to 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and 28 hours per week between academic semesters.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have knowledge of Project Management and the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Must be productive both supervised and unsupervised.
