This specialist is responsible for enforcing contract compliance policy and procedures, tracking all sales contracts with customers. This position is responsible for capturing sales by tracking new gas sales within existing and new contracts. The incumbent will track & update all existing & new contracts and through the process will coordinate with other departments, respond provide to customer inquiries and PGW customer account representatives. The incumbent will also support the PLP Manager in promoting PGW Parts & Labor Plan, and other PGW’s products promoting efforts.

Review all contracts for IT true-up opportunities including but not limited to IT Rate compliance, Negotiated IT Rate compliance, Bundled Interruptible Rate Compliance and Firm Rate Compliance. Improve true-up processes and collections of PGW’s investment by enforcing take-or-pay and minimum usage requirement provisions of all contracts.

Liaison with customers; keep customers- informed of stepped-up promotional opportunities to take advantage of energy saving programs and responding to questions about specific program issues and inquiries.

Identify costs on bills to help customers monitor usage to stay in contract compliance.

Improve PGW brand by promoting PGW’s “looking for ways to help you improve your business” campaign.

Promote value-added, non-commodity products and services such as energy audits, gas line protections, etc.

Work with customers to “right-size” contracts for lower rates when eligible.

Stay up to date with PGW new pilot rate such as TED (Technology & Economic Development Rate) & BUS (Backup Service Rate). Track provide data & help reporting to PUC regarding TED & BUS as needed. Compile for regular reporting to city, state, and federal agencies.

Coordinate and administer the process of meeting the customer’s needs from initial contact to turn on this includes executing customer orders in accordance with company policies and procedures; ensuring that the initial bill gets generated and delivered to the customer as well as processing and recording of customer contributions.

Archive Customer Contribution letter, Contracts, Letters of Credit and other project information data for new Residential construction and Commercial services and share with Legal.

Coordinate with Legal, Accounting, Treasury, and Billing departments regarding customers cash deposits, Letter of Credits (LOC) Assurity Bonds.

Perform other special projects and assignments as requested

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field of study.

4 - 5 years’ experience in Business Development, data research or contract administration.

Must have analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze and report impact of all contracting activities on sales goals, budget, and daily operations.

Must have project management and organizational skills with the ability to work smoothly under pressure and coordinate the activities of multiple levels of personnel.

Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively speak publicly in large or small setting, as well as general office correspondences.

Must have ability to work independently and offer solutions and expert guidance to both internal and external customers.

Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be familiar & willing to learn, Goldmine, BCCS, AIMS, and financial software’s.

Must be flexible with the ability to work out-of-hours as needed

Residency Requirement: All employees of the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) must live in the City of Philadelphia for the duration of their employment. If a candidate does not live in the City of Philadelphia at the time of hire, he/she must move into the city within twelve (12) months of his/her hire date.
