Pike Corporation Fiber Optic Installer A - Telecommunications in Pembroke Pines, Florida

Position Summary: Entry level position that will assist in MOT, general labor, dig trenches, set pull boxes, assist in unloading and unloading materials; pulling and feeding cable for underground installation; and assist in aerial installation from the ground level.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate the Bucket Truck, Bucket, and the Lasher for aerial installation.

  • Familiarity with all materials, tools, and procedures associated with aerial installation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 5 yrs experience installing underground and overhead fiber

  • Knowledgeable with reading prints and being able to construct a job

  • Familiarity with operating the fiber optic cable Tugger and Rodder, including knowledge of:

  • bend radius,

  • pulling tensions,

  • lubricants and dynometer

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Commercial Driver's License a plus.

  • Familiarity with reading plans.

  • Must become familiar and comply with safety procedures.
