Assist in preparing standards based, detailed small scale work scope documents for the installation of computing and communications technology and related components to support Con Edison and Orange and Rockland's information technology and communications environment.
Size, specify and purchase computing and communication network equipment and related components.
Support the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computing and communication network equipment.
Perform testing and simple problem determination of computing and communications equipment and related components, ensuring conformity to manufacturer and industry performance standards.
Provide project and contractor oversight to ensure compliance with company policies, security standards and EH&S guidelines.
Conduct field investigations, prepare analysis, and provide solutions to computing and communications problems.
Provide guidance and consulting on communications technology and solutions.
Support the cyber action team through forensics analysis of systems, malware, or network.
Basic troubleshooting of LAN and communications equipment problems using industry standard tools and checklists as guides.
Assist on RFP specifications; perform technical evaluations, and make recommendations.
Prepare project schedules.
Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Bachelor's Degree And 2 years Related work experience in the Information Technology (IT) field. Or
Associate's Degree And 4 years Related work experience in the IT field. Or
High School Diploma/GED And 5 years Related work experience in the IT field

Required Work Experience
Related experience should include data networking, computer/server hardware, fiber optic networking, microwave/radio technologies and telephony/VoIP systems. Required
Demonstrated strong technical skills across IT technologies. Required
Must be well organized and detail oriented. Required
Must be proficient at handling multiple assignments and deadlines while adapting to changing priorities. Required
Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Required
Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, outside vendors and various levels of management. Required
Must demonstrate ability to work in teams in a manner consistent with Company objectives. Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required. Required
Ability to learn new technology.

Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
Must be able to participate in the Company's emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
Must be able to lift and rack equipment.
Must be available 24x7 for emergency response and scheduling of critical work.
