Position Specific Description

Everyday our employees help us deliver safe, affordable, and reliable service to our more than 4.9 million customers. They are helping shape our company and how our customers see us. This PGD Engineer position will report to the Plant General Manager at Plant Manatee located in Parrish, FL. This position is a developmental role for future growth opportunities within our Power Generation Division Operations Team. Upon determination and timing and under general direction, this individual shall be able to perform reliability engineering responsibilities for the site including, but not limited to, quality program facilitation, equipment condition assessment program, tracking and improving key performance indicators and contractor coordination. Leadership skills desired with the ability to interact with various levels throughout the organization. This position leverages resources both inside and outside the company to achieve desired results.

Occasional night and or weekend work as well as call-out for emergencies is sometimes required.

• Plans and develops engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial complexities which have important impact on major company programs

• Acts as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual's field

• Completes assignments given in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitations

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
