Position Specific Description

This position will be responsible to drive adherence to the major maintenance process as it relates to long term planning deliverables for planned outages. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to; Outage project development, work ID and scope definition, LTP planning assignments, stakeholder meetings, AMPS and TMS meetings, budgetary estimates, accounting requirements (IO's and WBS's) and engineering support requirements. The candidate will be expected to drive adherence to the major maintenance process and ensure that all necessary work scopes for primary outage drivers (CT, ST, Generators) and secondary outage scopes are addressed within the identified projects.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years power plant outage execution or planning experience at the supervisor level or above

Excellent Maximo knowledge and skills

Excellent SAP knowledge and skills

Project management certification or relevant experience

Excellent communications and organization skill

Excellent leadership skills

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees a variety of large-scale projects of high complexity

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

  • Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis

  • Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions

  • Provides expert information to internal and external clients on complex issues

  • Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project

  • Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 6+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
