Purpose

A Clerk - Storekeeper is responsible for supporting Operations by supplying substation, transmission and line construction materials, as well as, maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure SOX compliance.

Accountabilities

  • Have or be able to learn a broad spectrum of tasks and job duties required.

  • Capable of responding (as required) to calls during business hours and outside business hours. In addition, travel as required to other storerooms.

  • Capable of working under stressful situations, i.e. outages, crews calling and multiple phones.

  • Know/learn substation, transmission and line construction materials.

  • Ability to expertly represent the company and the company brand while working with customers.

  • Capable of working on a team and within a team environment.

  • Demonstrate competency with computers. Emphasis on Maximo and Excel. Typing 35 words per minute minimum.

  • Must have physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds safely and meet other physical requirements of the position.

  • Know/Learn Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Data Splice, Customer Watch, OMS System and GNet.

  • Know/Learn the Radio base to dispatch orders, communicate switching instructions, recloser.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Know/learn the time entry process and complete without assistance.

Education and Experience

  • HS diploma or equivalent

  • Must have or be able to acquire a Class B CDL Driver’s License

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Time and stress management skills

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications

  • Continuous computer and hands on training

  • Must comply with the living requirement for this position (PA-5)
