Definition, maintenance, and support of Operational Smart Grids (OSG) infrastructure operational policies, standards, best practices, procedures, tools, and projects in support of efficient, resilient, and secure operations of OSG supported applications and facilities. Directs and works with technical teams and external vendors to provide support for a diverse set of enterprise services. Monitor project performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Align requirements with relevant global/corporate requirement(s), security framework(s) and/or associated regulatory compliance.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Collaborates with leadership to develop and manage program budgeting and Long-Term Outlook planning.
•Develops strategies for implementation of transformation projects.
•Supervises business transformation, technology, and process projects.
•Supervises a portfolio of project and program management services (project analysis, project evaluation, project delivery).
•Manages resource capacity constraints, risk exposure and interdependencies.
•Risk Management - Cybersecurity Assessment, Gap Analysis (best practices versus assessment), cost estimation, Plan of actions and milestones, RACI assessment, demarcation, operationalization, performance/ risk measurement and metrics, schedule coordination, Project presentation development, investment business justification documentation.
Education & Experience Required:
•BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science, or other technical discipline
•MA/MS Degree preferred
•Will consider additional years of relevant experience (10+ years) and/or relevant technical certifications in lieu of degree requirement
•Meet at least one of the following:
oAS Technical Related Degree with 8+ years’ technical experience
oBS Technical Related Degree with 6-8 years’ technical experience
oMS Technical Related Degree with 4+ years’ technical experience
•Preferred experience would include supervisory experience over staff or contractors on technical or cyber-related projects
•PMP or other relevant Certification preferred
•Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in project management—preferably in the context of cybersecurity, IT, OT, and preferably in an energy related technical environment
•Professional experience with more than one of the following areas:
oProviding project leadership across several project and process development activities
oAccountability for the performance and results of projects and processes under supervision
oDeveloping departmental strategic and business/operational plans, including recommended organizational priorities.
oInterpreting organizational objectives, plans and strategies to guide project and process activities
oIntegrating and coordinating project and process activities for a department
•Knowledge of federal government cybersecurity activities and practices
•Knowledge of federal or state regulatory environments
•Knowledge of federal cybersecurity agencies and environments
•Knowledge of a utility environments
•Strong communication and administration skills related to cybersecurity technology
•Must possess ability to deal collaboratively, diplomatically, and successfully with customers, co-workers and other professional colleagues, managers, and staff
•Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision
•Must have excellent problem-solving skills while providing first class customer service
•Requires outstanding oral and written communication skills
Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties. This is applicable to employees that will work in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York within AVANGRD Network and Corporate functions.
