  • Framatome is seeking an Associate Project Manager f * or our office in Kincardine, Ontario.

Job Responsibilities:

Under broad supervision, this position is responsible for securing and managing resources for moderately complex Level “C” single product line commercial projects from proposal development and award through contract closeout. At this level, incumbents may manage small-to-moderate projects, or elements and functions within a larger project.

Responsibilities typically include planning, scheduling and control of project activities to achieve project objectives .

  • Provides project leadership for major commercial design, construction, expansion, extension, renovation, supply or component replacement projects.

  • Prepares project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.

  • Utilizes approved project management methods and processes to execute low risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations.

  • Provides primary interface between project team, management and client.

  • Develops assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.

  • Coordinates multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance.

  • Monitors overall execution of engineering, procurement and construction activities, meeting customer’s expectations with respect to project reporting schedule and content.

  • Defines and forecasts needed skills to meet project objectives.

  • Manages the timely issuance and payment of customer invoices.

  • Main Point of Contact for general commercial discussions associated with the project.

  • Monitors man-hour reports and accuracy of project charges.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

  • BS Degree in Engineering, plus 8-10 years of project work experience including at least 3 years managing projects.

  • Excellent understanding of Bruce Power processes.

  • Bruce Power security clearance.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of major project management plan development, implementation and administration.

  • Strong business and/or technical expertise in a related technical capacity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff & management.

  • Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis.

  • Excellent report development and presentation skills.

  • Strong multi-tasking skills

  • Incumbents should be working on or have achieved, and continue to maintain AREVA PM certification. Must meet all requirements for AREVA Level D certification.
