One Gas Measurement Systems Specialist II in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Position Description:

Provides accurate, timely gas measurement data by monitoring gas measurement activities, analyzing measurement data, and communicating with internal and external customers to resolve any gas measurement issues. Also, provides technical support on measurement system applications and other related systems.

Interpret electronic flow measurement exception reports and analyze flow measurement data ensuring accuracy in volume calculation and customer invoicing.

Analyze electronic flow measurement events and alarms, identifying equipment and operational problems to assure accurate volume calculations.

Analyze electronic flow measurement gas quality data and make appropriate modifications when necessary.

Work with field personnel on suspected measurement problems and ensure problem resolution.

Acquire and validate measurement information from customers for third-party audits.

Solve missing third-party volumes and monitor and report on gas quality.

Provide customer support for measurement system applications, including but not limited to:

Work with internal and external customers regarding system problems and maintenance

Provide technical support for measurement personnel; coordinate training on measurement applications

Resolve application problems related to closing activities

Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application problems

Work with IT staff regarding system maintenance and performance issues

Develop proposals pertaining to measurement system customization; work with IT to design, test, and implement proposed system changes.

Provide technical training and user support for measurement system and related applications.

Perform measurement process analysis functions.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Preferred Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, management, or related field with previous experience in management of field operations.

Experience in the use of measurement software applications, such as FlowCal, PGAS, Banner, MMS, Quorum, Advantica, Billgen and associated reports used to improve measurement accuracy.

Demonstrated skills relative to measurement systems such as editing, importing, and exporting of data.

Knowledge of field operations and gas measurement methods.

Knowledge of plant processing and extraction facilities and physical properties of natural gas.

Knowledge of gas chromatographs and field samplers used to measure BTU values.

Experience analyzing and resolving problems with gas measurement system applications.

Working knowledge of data acquisition systems used to poll secondary measurement devices.

Application of math and algebraic formulas used in spreadsheet applications.

Experience and/or training related to:

Electronic data handling applications

Measurement process analysis functionWord processing, spreadsheet, and database applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Communications/interpersonal skills

Dispatching and working field orders using Advantica program

Experience reading and interpreting vendor communications, contracts, reports, technical manuals and publications, and correspondence.

Working knowledge of Quorum and an understanding of how customers and suppliers use Quorum.

Experience compiling and generating various types of reports pertaining to measurement data, system performance, training materials, etc.

Demonstrated ability to manage work assignments with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to produce work that is accurate, timely, and complete.

Experience interacting, advising, training, and communicating effectively.

Demonstrated ability to develop information and make presentations to individuals and groups.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide

Work stationary for extended periods.

Ability to react immediately to emergency and/or stressful work situations.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to operate tools and equipment as required.

Communicate and/or exchange verbal information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.

Sufficient to perform job duties.
