Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for managing assigned processes and accountable for the day-to-day execution and monitoring of assigned processes. Ensures that the process is being performed as agreed and documented and metrics are tracked and reported.

Primary Duties:

  • Manages one or more processes including: Change Management, Release and Deployment Management

  • Adapts design of assigned processes and underlying procedures, tools, and techniques to meet the changing needs of the business.

  • Resolves issues causing sub-standard performance of process(es). Automates process.

  • Thoroughly understanding process design, procedures, and tools.

  • Providing process leadership to enforce process execution: ensure process is well-described and coached, train, and hold others accountable for process execution.

  • Ensuring process metrics are defined, tracked, reported, and utilized for continuous improvement.

  • Leading business discussions with organizational management based on metrics and insights derived from analytics to drive continuous performance improvement ensure performance to standards.

  • Defining and maintaining process artifacts such as calendars, schedules, plans, training, and documentation.

  • Facilitating process management mechanisms such as approval boards and after-action reviews.

  • Performing process manager activities as defined in the process such as approvals and expedited process actions.

  • Understanding other processes in order to route off-track activities to the correct process and in order to contribute to improvement of process interactions one-on-one with other process managers as well as through participation in the SMO (Service Management Office).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CIS, Business or other technical discipline, and

  • 5 years experience in process management, ITIL disciplines, process improvement frameworks, or project management; or

  • 11 years experience in process management, ITIL disciplines, process improvement frameworks, or project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Implementation of new IT Service Management systems

  • Primary duties include Change Management, Release and Deployment Management

  • Good written and oral communication skills in both a formal and informal setting.

  • Ability to develop and conduct presentations.

  • Good training and coaching skills.

  • Good facilitation skills.

  • Solid problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Metrics and analytical skills.

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and Excel.

  • Ability to solve complex problems and develop solutions.

  • Ability to take action in a self-directed manner to identify and resolve issues.

  • Ability to function in a customer oriented, team based environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • May work hours outside normal workday/workweek.
