Purpose

To be the dedicated Account Manager on ensure the timely delivery of wind turbines and expedite the Supply Chain with VAWT and SGRE.

*This is a 12- 18 month contract

Accountabilities

  • Act as Algonquin’s main point of contact with current wind turbine suppliers, expediting with the OEM counter-parties all TSA contract deliverables

  • Engage with WTG OEM management personnel; understand who-does-what, build relationship with key account counter-party,

  • Travel to WTG OEM corporate offices and production facilities to development an understanding of AQN orders vs. o/all OEM work-load,

  • Apply needed pressure and expediting to solve challenges,

  • Report internally to AQN senior management as to progress, risk, contingencies and mitigation.

  • Act as Algonquin’s SME on all relevant TSA contracts that include 2020 deliverables that are critical to PTC 2020 placed in service

  • Supply-Chain Oversight - Obtain, consolidate and analyze all Vestas upstream supply-chain component manufacturing schedules – both in-house OEM self-performance as well as contracted suppliers. This is a global supply chain infrastructure.

  • Factory Inspection - Develop and execute a third party factory surveillance program that will provide AQN with due diligence to assure component deliveries meet project delivery requirements.

Education & Experience

  • Must have a University - Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering or the equivalent experience may be considered

  • Must have 5-10 years of experience the industry and working with wind turbines

  • Ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel across North America and Europe 25% of the time.
