At Enbridge, we embrace new ideas and offer an environment where employees are recognized and respected for their input and opinions. We are looking for outstanding employees who share our vision to be the best in everything we do, from safe and reliable operations to innovative solutions with commitment and dedication to our values.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Specialist, Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) System Pruning to join our team. This role is accountable for the successful design and implementation of system pruning pilot(s). System pruning involves the strategic and proactive decommissioning of a portion of the natural gas system. To proceed with the pruning of a targeted portion of the system as a potential alternative to the cost of a system renewal project (i.e., maintenance or replacement of the pipeline), all customers served by that pipeline system must have fully converted off natural gas and be willing to disconnect from the pipeline system. The pilot(s) will support this by seeking to entice existing customers to replace their equipment with non-gas equipment.

We offer opportunities for growth, increasing your knowledge and skills, and an exciting career with a competitive benefits and pension package including generous time off. #joinourteam

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the development of system pruning projects inclusive of the design, approach, evaluation plan, strategy and policy requirements, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure that the pilots are set up to achieve the objectives as defined in the approach and results can be informative for broader implementation.

  • Project manage the implementation of system pruning pilot project(s), establishing the work plan, working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, managing delivery agents and leading the development of communications, to ensure pilots can be launched in a timely manner and deliverables are met.

  • Lead consultation with external stakeholders on system pruning initiatives, inclusive of IRP Technical Working Group (where the TWG is an Ontario Energy Board Staff led group with various intevenors and industry experts who provide input to key areas of IRP).

  • Develop evidence for IRP related Ontario Energy Board (OEB) filings to report on progress of system pruning projects and ensure compliance to OEB directives, where results and learnings of the pilot will be critical in how system pruning is considered going forward.

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of experience in the energy sector – regulatory / asset management / energy conservation program design/execution related job experience is preferred.

  • Strong project management experience and problem-solving skills with a proven track record to identify solutions to complex requirements and act within an evolving environment.
