Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Coordinate operations, maintenance, and engineering and construction activities and establishes site work priorities. Provides scheduling support and designs support plans for site activities. Monitor progress of work, identifies problems, and revises plans and schedules as necessary to ensure safe and efficient execution. Create plans that drive improvement through the organizations.Provide scope oversight of projects of low to high complexity. Ensures project deliverables and outcomes are completed on-time and within budget. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Manages the day-to-day operations of the process and ensures the organization complies with Outage and Work Management procedures and practices.

  2. Publish reports and critiques, monitor completion of action items and lessons learned.

  3. Develop and implement new concepts for process improvement.

  4. Develop and maintain long range plans for Fermi 2.

  5. Serve as project manager on special assignments as necessary.

  6. Supervise activities during outage and online times to meet established milestones and objectives in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  7. Manages projects including alterations from scoping phase through the design, project implementation and closeout phases.

  8. Manages project duration and schedules to fit into the on-line divisional work windows and scheduled refueling outages.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

This is a multi-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following three options:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline and 4 years nuclear power experienceOR

  • Associate degree in a scientific or engineering discipline and 6 years nuclear power experience. OR

  • High school diploma and 8 years nuclear power experience

Other Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate training and be medically certifiable (drug and alcohol screen).

  • Ability to maintain emergency response team requirements (e.g., Emergency Response Organization (ERO) under the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP))

  • Must be able to manage multiple work activities, which will include numerous urgent (time critical) tasks of varying priority.
