Job Summary

Provides financial, operational and analytical expertise to support the achievement of business goals and strategic objectives for assigned areas of PSE&G.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a variety of Utility operating areas (in particular Asset Management and Electric) and Service Company departments (in particular Finance and Accounting) to determine optimized investment, resource allocation and work plans to maximize/maintain returns.

• Lead the O&M and capital resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting activities for assigned areas within PSE&G, in particular headcount and labor planning.

• Conduct work plan meetings with divisions/field/other areas to analyze variance from budget and forecast; coordinate reconciliation of variances of actual vs plan/forecast; develop profit recovery plans, O&M and capital forecasts, work plans and strategies to maintain the planned financial returns.

• Develop and prepare regulatory filings/reports for the BPU, and manage internal and external audit requests.

• Perform special analyses, scenarios analysis, and projects for PSE&G and operations management.

• Understand and evaluate the financial impacts of regulatory and accounting changes and issues.

• Respond quickly to ad hoc requests including analysis in SAP.

• Must have strong financial acumen and be able to assess the impact of issues on financial statements. Key competencies include: financial reporting and analysis, leadership, problem solving, industry knowledge and oral and written communication skills; experience in financial and operating planning and analysis.

Job Specific Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance or related discipline; with 10 years related business experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency with financial planning and analysis, including basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements.

• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Excel, including the ability to utilize formulas and advanced functionality to manage large amounts of data.

• Strong working knowledge of SAP, in particular knowledge of order/WBS cost charging; knowledge of overhead assessment cycles a plus.

• Experience in PSE&G operations or operations support

• Motivated self-starter with strong time management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze risks, and recommend sound corrective measures.

• Exceptional ability to lead diverse teams and manage a wide spectrum of issues, from abstract concepts to the development and application of vigorous analytics.

• Outstanding leadership, teamwork, analytic and communication skills.

• Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.

• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity.

• Ability to build and maintain key relationships internally to accomplish goals and objectives.

Desired :

• MBA or CPA.

• Advanced knowledge of SAP

• Experience working in Electric Operations, P&C or Asset Management

• 5+ years supervising/leading employees.
