Job Summary

This position is open to current PSEG employees only

This position will focus on ER&T’s and LIPA’s Trading Operation’s policies/practices, continuous improvement activities and regulatory reporting. The Trading Operations Analyst is responsible for day-to-day back office operational and analytical support for ER&T’s energy trading activity and continuous improvement program. The position primary responsibilities include: to conduct research, investigate work flows, business processes, and recommend changes. The Analyst is ER&T SOX SME and strategic partner dedicated to support, monitor and control trading activity and ensure that trading practices, procedures are administered and Federal and State compliance standards and regulations are adhered to. This position reports to the Manager Trading Operations COE.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Seven years’ experience in a trading environment, internal auditing, compliance/process improvements or with regulatory reporting.

• Demonstrated strong excel spreadsheet capabilities and knowledge of specialized software products

• Demonstrated deep understanding of physical and financial energy commodity trade or market rules

• Demonstrated extensive understanding of issues encountered through control testing, the associates risks and impact of those risks

• Solid understanding of front, middle, and back office business and compliance issues impacting an energy marketing function

• Excellent judgment and the ability to be discreet in all matters

• Ability to conduct research, manipulate large data sets of information, analyze results and make recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative factors/data

Desired:

• Advanced degree

• Aligne; trader limit monitoring tools

• An understanding of the ISO markets for PJM, ISONE, and NYISO.

• Prior experience with futures exchange operations, trading, risk management, and commodity regulations

• Experience with Internal/External auditing of energy trading organization
