Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing the strategy, leading and integrating all aspects of PSEG’s corporate social responsibility and philanthropy through the PSEG Foundation, corporate contributions, corporate sponsorships, and employee volunteerism. This is a highly visible position which represents PSEG in the community to demonstrate the Company’s dedication to Corporate Citizenship. The Director also serves as President of the PSEG Foundation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and integrating all aspects of PSEG corporate giving including: PSEG Foundation philanthropy, corporate contributions, corporate sponsorships, memberships, and employee volunteerism.Develop and implement philanthropic strategy for PSEG and make recommendations to the PSEG Foundation Board of Directors that support safety, education, the environment and economic/community development primarily in New Jersey but also in other areas PSEG has businesses.As President of the Foundation, responsible for setting governance policy for the activities of the Foundation and ensuring compliance with IRS and other laws and regulations governing.Create and manage internal partnerships with the lines of business, public affairs, and corporate communications to leverage relationships with key stakeholders and community leaders. Work with key business leaders to ensure that corporate social responsibility is aligned with the business strategies.Identify and develop opportunities for executive participation in key external charitable activities.Establish and maintain relations of trust with community stakeholders and key public leaders to advance PSEG’s business objectives and to enhance PSEG’s reputation by linking corporate social responsibility and business objectives to help address environmental, social and community/economic development concernsAnalyze and prioritize emerging state and community issues, needs and expectations and build cross-functional teams within PSEG to execute planned and focused approach to corporate social responsibility and outreach.· Represent PSEG’s senior executives and participate on their behalf in task forces, committee meetings and public appearances inside and outside PSEG.

Job Specific Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 10 years of experience in related areas such as government, public affairs, community or corporate or non-profit development, community affairs, human resources, communications, or related business experience. Or a Masters Degree and a minimum 7 years experience in one or several of the aforementioned areas.

Required Competencies:

Strong leadership skills, with prior management experience

Interpersonal, public speaking, negotiation, oral and written communication skills developed through interaction with executives, public officials, and/or community/nonprofit boards

Comfort working in matrix environment, as well as supporting senior management in all lines of business.

Ability to gain the trust and support of key diverse external constituencies

Familiarity, understanding and experience with critical statewide and local governmental and external issues facing the company

Budget preparation and management experience
