Exelon Sr Analyst IT – Outage Management and Geospatial Real Time Support in Newark, Delaware
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Perform activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining solutions, products and processes under the guidance of a Lead Analyst or Manager. May assist in the coordination of tasks for subordinates. Independence level: Works under general supervision.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes. For Projects: analyze requirements, design, build, and test IT software solutions in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance: enhance, maintain or support existing IT products and processes to the defined service level agreement
Maintain engagement with business and IT partners.
Assist less experienced personnel.
Proactively build business/IT knowledge to provide solutions.
Utilize best practices to improve products and services. Apply and verify compliance to standards as defined within the Management Model.
As assigned, work effectively with outsourcing partners
Performs this service in support of Exelon Utilities IT – Real Time
Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements
Applies technical expertise to plan, design, build or support required products and processes
Help other team members learn appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate to their skill set
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and typically 3 to 5 years related experience in application development and support or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience performing analysis, design, programming, and troubleshooting in various programming languages (Java, C#, Unix scripting, PowerShell)
Experience with Oracle databases and related programming languages (SQL/PL-SQL)
Familiarity with networking and n-tier architecture concepts
Knowledge of business practices and processes in IT change control and source control methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work with remote project teams
Ability and willingness to support real-time 24/7 systems that included rotational on call support and shift coverage during major weather events.
Ability and willingness to travel to other company locations when required
Experience with Oracle Fusion middleware
Experience with web programming languages and supporting web server applications - IIS, Apache, Tomcat
Experience with the SunNet Total Outage Application
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS Portal
Experience with the Oracle Network Management System
Experience demonstrating skill using formal IT change control philosophy to administer various tiers of enterprise-level applications (development, stage, production). Includes creating formal change control documentation.
Knowledge of Electric Distribution and/or Transmission Operations
