Core Responsibilities
This is a technical role with functional responsibility to apply your voice network design and operation knowledge, skills, and expertise to support all company facilities, locations served, and control centers
You will work independently and/or with technical staff including employees, contractors and third party service providers to monitor, troubleshoot and support all facets of the enterprise voice network and associated infrastructure and applications including CUCM, Cisco Unity, IPC Turret, voice Gateways, analog/digital trunking, NICE recording, Poly/TEAMS conferencing at 100+ sites in NYC, Westchester NY and Orange and Rockland service area
Track and manage all voice related support tickets, including break/fix, answer 'how-to' questions, train end users, perform move/add/change work, investigate communication application issues, and ensure adherence to operating policy and procedures
Monitor and address infrastructure and application alerts, collect and interpret packet captures, troubleshoot and/or escalate issues to SMEs, vendors and/or carriers
Lead or participate on system and collaboration application upgrades and end-of-life device replacement support, maintain deployment plans and schedules, and make improvement recommendations
Assess the impact of vendor vulnerability advisories and remediate exposures
Create voice network documentation including voice network diagrams, policies and procedures for voice network management
Identify opportunities to optimize, streamline and automate processes and/or repetitive tasks
Assist in developing and tracking project and program budgets for infrastructure upgrades, migrations, or retirements
Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies
Perform other related tasks and assignments as required
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering and a minimum of (3) years of IT experience or
Associate's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering and a minimum of (5) years of IT experience or
High School Diploma/GED Preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering a minimum of (7) years of IT experience
Relevant Work Experience
Strong understanding of architectural concepts and practices leading to solutions that are reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible Required
Working knowledge configuring, installing, troubleshooting CUCM, Voicemail, SIP Trunking, softphone, call recording, dial plan, audio, video, and web conferencing in large scale enterprise environments Required
Hands-on experience provisioning and troubleshooting voice and data services such as T1, Ethernet, POTS, PRI, ISDN Signaling, and understanding cause code errors Required
Experience using wire troubleshooting and packet analysis tools such as tracer/toner, continuity testers, and WireShark Required
Proven experience troubleshooting system issues and outages as well as conducting root cause analysis Required
Understanding of cyber security principles Required

Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License Required
Other: CCNA Voice / CCNP Voice, Poly Certified Videoconferencing Engineer (PCVE) or Poly Expert Program Preferred
Physical Demands
Must push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds
Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
Must be able to read small print and symbols.
Other Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, gloves, and safety shoes when required
