ConEdison Supervisor - Construction Services in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge is required or
Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience and knowledge is required or
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge is required
Relevant Work Experience
Knowledge and experience in maintaining, machine shop equipment fundamentals and mechanical rotating equipment apparatus such as pumps, motors, valves etc. Preferred
Knowledge and experience in maintaining / installing electrical equipment. Preferred
Knowledge and experience in substations/ steam plants/ electrical operations/ gas operations. Preferred
Strong understanding of troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures and implementing repair plans. Preferred
Ability to read and interpret layouts and engineering drawings. Preferred
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability to lead/manage others
Builds and manages effective teams
Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Ability to respond to system emergencies
Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Use hand-eye coordination to adjust controls on equipment
Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
