Core Responsibilities
The Legal Innovation and Operations team is seeking a Senior Specialist to assist with activities that support the legal operations function. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for items such as program support and administration, reporting and analysis, as well as supporting the Legal Innovation and Operations team. The Senior Specialist will also interact with internal and external clients. The Senior Specialist will report to the Law Operations Section Manager. Strong technology and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, are keys to success in this role. This is a hybrid role.
Legal Innovation and Operations program support. Help advance team projects to achieve on-time and on-budget results.
Assist with Law Department and legal vendor diversity initiatives, including tracking of metrics, data, surveys, etc.
Oversee the administration of the Law Department Summer Internship Programs through Diversity Lab's 1L Pipeline Collective, as well as other legal summer internship program(s).
Prepare and provide monthly Law Department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) report.
Assist with vendor management, including various outside counsel e-billing activities.
Prepare reports and provide data analysis for a variety of business and financial information.
Develop budgets for internal and external spend.
Provide ongoing and ad hoc analysis and reporting, as needed.
Design and build best-in-class dashboards, tools, and reports.
Perform accruals, Oracle requisitions, payments, and other financial tasks, as assigned.
Responsible for additional tasks and duties to support the Legal Innovation and Operations team.
Assist the company during system emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment. This may require off-hour and weekend emergency response.
Required Education/Experience
Associate's Degree And A minimum of five years related work experience. Or
Bachelor's Degree And A minimum of three years related work experience. Or
Master's Degree And A minimum of two years related work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree And A minimum of three years related work experience.
Master's Degree And A minimum of two years related work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills. Required
Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment. Required
2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, MS Forms, Power BI and PowerPoint. Required
Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts and graphs, and formulas and functions. Required
Experience with creating, tracking, and reporting metrics. Required
Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Required
Must have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and handle internal and external contacts professionally with tact and sensitivity. Required
Must be disciplined and have excellent time management skills. Required
Must demonstrate personal responsibility and accountability. Required
Must have strong interpersonal skills, as well as exemplary follow-up organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Required
