Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Project manage complex I&O capital projects from inception to completion, work with cross-functional teams and lead the project management workgroup

  • Ensure project deadlines are met and build relationships with business/operating partners, IT teams, system integrators, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders

  • Create a Value Realization Management (VRM) process and establish criteria for capturing, measuring, and tracking the actual benefits and savings attained from IT projects

  • Collaborate with project teams to create and maintain project plans, milestones, and schedules across all areas affected by Infrastructure and Operations (I&O)

  • Assess and manage project risks, communicate clear expectations regarding project scope and deliverables, provide regular status updates to various levels, escalate significant issues to senior management, and offer practical recommendations to ensure the project's success

  • Transform data into financial project performance metrics, collaborate with the project management team to report budget variances, establish project management policies and procedures, and facilitate communications with stakeholders and senior executives

  • Identify best practices, lessons learned, and change management opportunities that may impact multiple teams with the goal of enhancing project performance

  • Ensure adherence to the Project Governance Playbook and performance of project monitoring controls

  • Mentor and coach project management team members, review deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment to departmental objectives

  • Apply cyber security principles to IT projects

  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve issues and respond to corporate emergencies

  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering and with a minimum of 3 years of IT experience or

  • Associate's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering and with a minimum of 5 years of IT experience or

  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of IT experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise managing infrastructure implementations, including interpreting network diagrams, circuit installations, server and storage projects, as well as data center build and upgrades

  • Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to leadership teams, and a track record of building trust with business partners

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills managing projects of varying complexity, effectively utilizing available resources to achieve goals, and completing projects on time and within budget

  • Hands-on experience using enterprise project portfolio management software such as Oracle Unifier

  • Advanced working knowledge using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel for Project Management

  • Demonstrated experience using waterfall, agile, lean or hybrid project management methodologies

  • Extensive demonstrated experience managing and influencing diverse workgroups and project teams

  • Developed capital plans, conducted life cycle cost assessments, and performed cost-benefit analyses

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds

  • Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday

  • Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday

  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughtout the workday

  • Ability to read small print and symbols

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, gloves, and safety shoes when required
