ConEdison GenAI Solutions Engineer Lead in New York, New York

Required Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree Preferably in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or Sciences including Mathematics, Analytics, and Quantitative Methods. and Minimum 6 years experience designing, developing, implementing, and operating technologies in one or more IT domains, e.g. applications, data, solution, infrastructure, process change management.

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferably in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or Sciences including Mathematics, Analytics, and Quantitative Methods. Minimum 8 years experience designing, developing, implementing, and operating technologies in one or more IT domains, e.g. applications, data, solution, infrastructure, process change management.

Relevant Work Experience

  • 8+ years in enterprise IT or solution engineering roles, required.

  • 3+ years of direct experience with GenAI technologies, including LLMs and related AI architectures, required.

  • Experience delivering at least two production-grade GenAI systems, with proven business impact (e.g., automation, customer service, document intelligence, summarization, recommendations, etc.), required.

  • Experience with enterprise AI tools from Microsoft (Azure Foundry, Azure OpenAI), Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Gemini), AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker), and open-source ecosystems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face), required.

  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as but not limited to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Google BigQuery, Azure Fabrics/Synapse and Databricks, required.

  • Strong grasp of AI/ML lifecycle: data ingestion, model selection, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, required.

  • Familiarity with AI safety frameworks, hallucination mitigation, human-in-the-loop (HITL) patterns, and GenAI risk management, required.

  • Experience working with energy, utilities, or industrial IoT data is a plus preferred.

  • Deep technical fluency in GenAI, AI architecture, cloud-native design, and automation strategies, required.

  • Ability to motivate, challenge and develop staff, required.

  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies, required.

  • Manage projects including but not limited to resources, scope, budget (costs), schedule & overall project plans, required.

  • Experience identifying and vetting vendor products preferred, including developing requests for proposal, vendor research and proposal evaluation. Experience preferred in planning vendor technology upgrades or obsolescence management, required.

  • Experience participating on multi-disciplinary review boards a plus, preferred.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business value, preferred.

  • Emotional intelligence, team leadership, and stakeholder influence, preferred.

  • Agility in experimentation, learning, and iteration, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

  • Other: Microsoft Azure AI Engineer, Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer, OpenAI Developer certification, AWS Certified Machine Learning. Preferred
