Job Description

Core Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for incident response, especially relating to third party vendor compromise
Coordinate major vulnerability response
Use an understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities
Lead cyber threat intelligence activities
Develop strategy and roadmaps for cybersecurity automation
Strategize purple teaming activities and implement remediations
Work with tool admins to perform detection engineering and improve alert fidelity
Develop strategy and roadmaps for the cyber security operations center
Work with industry groups to provide expert feedback and intel sharing
Maintain up to date awareness of energy sector cyber threats and intel
Communicate and brief stakeholders on intel, incidents, and projects as needed
Lead other relevant cybersecurity projects
Ensures 24x7x365 support and on-call on a rotating schedule
Required Education/Experience
Master's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (2) years of IT or related experienc or
Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (3) years of IT or related experience or
Associate's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (5) years of IT or related experienc or
High School Diploma/GED Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and with a minimum of (7) years of IT or related experience
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (3) years of IT or related experience
Relevant Work Experience
Leading or supporting cybersecurity operations, or other leadership role in information technology managing a small to medium size workgroup
Practical knowledge and familiarity of security information and event management (SIEM)
Ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures for incident, problem and change management
Understanding of control center networks and control systems design
Critical thinking, root cause and data analysis, and problem solving
Effectively collaborating with other IT groups, business, and understanding customers' needs
Moderate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project and other Office tools

Ability to lead/manage others
Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Licenses & Certifications
- Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Must push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds
Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
Must be able to read small print and symbols.
Other Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
