ConEdison Analyst, Gas Control - Gas Sequencing & Scheduling in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' full-time gas, electric, steam or other related experience or
Associate's Degree and 4 years' full- time gas, electric, steam or other related experience or
High School Diploma/GED and 6 years' full-time gas, electric, steam or other related experience.
Relevant Work Experience
General working knowledge of gas transmission and distribution systems. Required
General working knowledge of GIS and/or mapping systems. Required
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with customers (internal and external) and all levels across the organization. Required
Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Required
Must be able to work well in team situations. Required
Must be able to exercise independent judgment and possess the ability to render sound business decision. Required
Must be able to work a weekly staggered shift with other analyst to cover 7:00AM 5:00PM Monday through Friday and Saturday 7:00AM 3:30PM. Required
Related work experience including scheduling field activities. Preferred
Skills and Abilities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments
Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
Ability to read small print and symbols
Additional Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
