The Supervisor – Fuel Handling is a front line supervisor responsible for executing power plant fuel handling activities by motivating and leading a competent team of fuel handling personnel. Hires, develops and promotes personnel in accordance with the needs and objectives of the facility and the company. Supervises fuel handling personnel to ensure proper fuel handling operation and maintenance per industry best practices to optimize fuel delivery and storage. Works closely with plant operations and maintenance supervision to cultivate and maintain a facility wide team atmosphere.

Operates and maintains all fuel handling equipment in a safe and reliable manner to efficiently provide fuel delivery and storage to meet generating unit dispatch goals.
Leads assigned personnel in the efficient delivery and storage of fuel to a generating unit in order to meet all dispatch requirements.
Supervises fuel handling maintenance activities that lead to reliable equipment operation for optimal fuel delivery and storage.
Monitors and leads the fuel handling operating efforts in a manner that is environmentally responsible, consistent with plant, division and corporate goals.
Input daily Fuels receipts into tracking software to maintain accurate inventory levels
Develops and manages O&M and Capital Budgets to meet work group and plant financial goals and targets
Leverage maintenance management system (SAP) to ensure that maintenance activities are prioritized, scheduled and performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Monitor fuel handling KPIs to ensure acceptable performance and take corrective action as necessary.
Provides orientation and training for new team members and gives feedback and coaching as needed to improve employee performance.
Provides immediate supervision to fuel handling team in accomplishing the needed tasks to provide fuel and storage for an electrical generation unit or facility.
Interacts with team and others in an approachable manner and has the ability to understand and influence others.
Decisions impact the immediate area of responsibility and are governed by fuel handling standards and work routines that encourage the use of employee initiative.

Plans and Aligns
High School Diploma or equivalent with two years technical training or equivalent
5+ years of related experience
2+ years people management experience, preferred
Experience and ability to lead staff across projects towards a common vision
Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism
