The Supervisor – Field Maintenance is a front-line supervisor responsible for executing power plant maintenance activities by motivating and leading a competent team of maintenance personnel. Hires, develops, and promotes personnel in accordance with the needs and objectives of the facility and the company. Supervises maintenance personnel to ensure proper maintenance of plant equipment per industry best practices to optimize unit availability. Works closely with operations supervision to cultivate and maintain a facility-wide team atmosphere.

  • Maintains all power plant equipment in a safe and reliable manner in order to meet performance targets resulting in efficient unit operation.

  • Leads assigned personnel to accomplish defined maintenance tasks working to maintain or increase equipment reliability in accordance with accepted work methods and design practices.

  • Collaborates with plant operations and Planning Department to identify work to be scheduled based on priority and criticality to allow work to be performed with little or no delays.

  • Develops and manages O&M and Capital Budgets to meet work group and plant financial goals and targets

  • Leverage maintenance management system (SAP) to ensure that maintenance activities are prioritized, scheduled and performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

  • Monitor maintenance KPIs to ensure acceptable performance and take corrective action as necessary.

  • Provides orientation and training for new team members and gives feedback and coaching as needed to improve employee performance.

  • Provides immediate supervision to maintenance team in accomplishing the needed tasks to maintain an electrical generation unit or facility.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with two years technical training or equivalent

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • 2+ years people management experience, preferred

  • Experience and ability to lead staff across projects towards a common vision

  • Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism

  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees to address difficult issues

  • Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities
