We are looking for an experienced leader to serve as the Application Owner of our Success Factors tool. This role is intended to serve as the person responsible for the overall health of the Success Factors application.
The role is intended to be collaborative in working directly with program owners and module leads in providing technology solutions that align with overall program strategies. The role is intended to lead the effort to develop road maps and projects that continuously take advantage of the capabilities of the tool to exploit it to its highest potential.
In addition, this owner will be responsible for establishing key foundational processes to maintain the overall application. These processes include security, testing, requirements gathering, release management, issue resolution, and prioritization of enhancements.
The application owner will work directly with specified module leads that support each Success Factors module. Current modules include, but are not limited to: Recruiting Management, Recruiting Marketing, Onboarding, Goal Management, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Career Development Planning.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Work with program owners and module leads to understand and implement business strategic programs. Establish standard processes and tools to gather system enhancement requirements.
Conduct and review gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborate with internal application partners to estimate project impact.
Provide configuration support for SuccessFactors when appropriate, and/or work with the support vendor to ensure successful and timely implementation.
Along with module leads, perform business application and functional analysis to understand and document data, workflow, and business process relationships required to satisfy business requirements. Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions. Serve as a key liaison with third parties, module leads and program owners.
Monitor the progress of projects (milestones), enhancements and identified issues by using consistent tracking and status reporting. Be able to periodically report on the overall health of the Success Factors tool.
Responsible for adherence to defined service level agreements.
Establish a robust set of consistent processes to be adhered to by all module leads in the areas of security, testing, release management, configuration management, documentation, etc. This includes user procedures and guidelines.
Assist in the review, testing and implementation of all quarterly releases and/or new versions. Collaborate with program owners, module leads and 3 rd party vendor to ensure a smooth transition.
Establish the overall processes required to support SuccessFactors including, but not limited to working with vendors to research and resolve problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Understand integration points and interfaces and manage any changes with IT.
Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs (reporting tools could be Success Factors, Cognos of Microsoft BI).
Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data to ensure strong internal controls.
Train program owners and end users on new processes/functionality. This work may be in collaboration with change management or training resources.
Maintain awareness of current trends in Success Factors technologies with a focus on continuous improvement. Examine trends via training, materials and techniques, classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanism. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
Work effectively as part of a team atmosphere to perform duties and achieve daily operational goals.
Minimum Education Required for this Position
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, human resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience Required for the Position
- At least 6 years of professional experience
Experience with ERP, HCM, TM systems, or SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred.
Strong project/product management experience through active participation in system-related projects.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Strong understanding of Human Resources processes and data.
Strong understanding of database design, tools, structure, functions and processes.
Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
Any certificates, licenses, etc., required for the position
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred.
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
