Job Summary/Purpose:
Provides support and expertise on Meter to Cash applications. Provides day-to-day support for applications and initiatives currently supporting the billing and payment customer journey as it relates to Compliance, Controls, and Risk and Rate Management. Primary responsibility of this role is to identify risks and opportunities designed to improve business processes and information systems, ensuring the availability of applications/initiatives for stakeholders. This position will support the planning, design, development, and testing of Compliance, Controls, and Risk and Rate Management enhancements.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Learn and understand customer and stakeholder business needs and objectives; recommend and design solutions and make enhancements that meet customer business needs. Maintain customer relationships with members of Entergy’s management team to identify sources of risk or areas for improvement.
Participate in risk assessments to identify opportunities designed to improve business processes and information systems.
Communicate and resolve application interface issues. Coordinate and communicate with technical resources, control owners, and internal and external auditors.
Support, including maintenance and testing, for critical systems while ensuring compliance with SOX, regulatory statutes and other applicable Standards.
Manage Risk/Compliance Response Plans, including Preparation, Support, and participation in periodic audit finding sessions with operating personnel to verify facts and obtain background information not available in the documentation examined.
Support Compliance, Controls, and Risk Assessment activities through data analytics and query or application development.
Draft and/or review compliance policies and assist with compliance training (including job aids, communications, training materials, etc.) when needed, with a specific focus on the end-to-end process.
Collaborate and coordinate with a broad cross-functional team to understand and identify risk areas in their department (including Finance, IT, Regulatory, etc) and develop, refine, implement, and refine policies.
Support the development, coordination, and implementation of risk management plans relating to any compliance or regulatory requirements, with guidance from the Legal & Compliance teams.
Supports the implementation of regulatory rate or process changes, in partnership with other business units, to improve compliance in the overall end-to-end process for management of Entergy’s rate structures.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education required of the position.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required.
Preferred: Master’s degree
Minimum experience required of the position
Analyst, Sr.: 6+ years of relevant professional experience
Preferred: Previous experience with regulatory compliance and controls
Preferred: Strong understanding of how data and analytics support compliance-based IT initiatives
Preferred: Exposure to Information Security audits or analytics
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Knowledge of end-to-end software development process.
Detail oriented with the ability to interpret regulatory requests and corresponding data
Comfortable working in high stress and ambiguous environments
Capable of meeting deadlines
