We are currently seeking a highly motivated, process orientated DOT Compliance Specialist to join our team! Nature of Work:

The DOT Compliance Specialist is responsible for updating and maintaining employee information for the DOT department.

This position serves as the subject matter expert in DOT and is responsible for implementing and executing programs that effectively lead the company’s safety culture. This position is responsible for providing sound leadership and management to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies in an over-the-road and dedicated transportation environment.

The DOT Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all transportation and safety regulations, to include but not limited to DOT, OSHA and all state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.

  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and other relative agencies.

  • Administer drug test program, test completions, DOT Clearinghouse and reporting compliance with third party agencies and clients.

  • Implement, maintain, and update driver qualification records per current DOT regulations.

  • Manage driver MVR and FMCSA violation databases, employee driver qualification files, and vehicle maintenance records.

  • Create and report out on internal and external compliance reporting.

  • Conduct regular audits of drivers to ensure compliance through fleet management and tracking system.

  • Issue and maintain Drive Fuel IDs per company and DOT policy for company drivers.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Run and send out daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

  • Send out monthly driver’s license status to field managers.

  • Own the “How’s My Driving” program, and report to the DOT.

  • Schedule medical card appointments, and upload to Wisconsin DMV.

  • Manage active & inactive employee list, per organization’s internal system.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

  • Minimum 5 years of office, administrative, or relatable experience.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn and adapt to various programs.

  • Ability to plan your work and meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills, problem solving, attention to detail and data accuracy required.

    Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and understanding of DOT guidelines and regulations.

  • Experience working with field team members.
