Job Description:

Responsible for governance roles in: invoice processing, contract administration and analysis, audit mitigation and reporting, this position will also lead process improvement / LEAN initiatives and training. Annual volume: 70,000 invoices for $2.3 Billion; Unvouchered Liabilities for $2.4 Billion

Function as a team lead to oversee employees and contractors in processing invoices for labor and services and unvouchered liabilities for operating companies, transcos, and joint ventures.

Oversee daily invoice processing and manage work load to ensure compliance with Accounting Policies and Guidelines; Provide guidance to business analysts and field employees regarding interpretation of contract language in processing invoices; oversee ROW invoice processing ($100 Million annually) for trust fund reimbursements, contract labor, and landowner damage assessments.

Coordinate the identification and recordation of $2+ Billion annually of unvouchered liabilities; collaborate with Accounting, external auditors, vendors, Transmission Project Management and Field Services to ensure compliance

Oversee the interpretation of complex contractual language with T&D Procurement, AEP Legal, and Audit Services to apply to contract reviews and vendor billings; collaborate with T&D Procurement to amend contract language to improve or clarify terms and conditions.

Interpret complex contractual language and financial Terms and Conditions to apply to vendor invoices.

Participate in vendor and operational audits in conjunction with Audit Services to ensure compliance with the contract's financial Terms and Conditions and AEP's policies and guidelines; Lead the development of mitigation strategies to ensure compliance.

Assist with the transition and training from CAMPS / Asset Suite to Maximo

Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives related to financial and operational processes; lead or participate in LEAN initiatives to reduce expenses or increase revenue for AEP Transmission; Assist with cost and process benchmarking studies both internal and external to AEP to ensure operational excellence.

Lead or participate in special studies or projects as may be assigned.
