Assistant Project Manager

This position will serve as a general utility team member associated with project support.
The essential duties of the position include, but not limited to:
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Understand the terms and scope of the contract and specifications as it applies to the project.
Help facilitate subcontractor activities under direct supervision.
Track material, production, and project costs and provide documentation to PM.
Assist PM with federal/state agency correspondence and reporting including environmental, QA/QC, safety reports and daily reports.
Maintain project schedule tracking with Superintendent/Foreman for PM.
Attend construction related meetings to support project related functions. (Safety, planning and weekly meetings)
Work with Superintendent/Foreman to line up equipment, estimating, take-offs, and solicit quotes.
Assist with managing projects and at times be a part of multiple projects.
Assist Superintendent/Foreman in approving each crew’s Mi-Hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a B.S in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with prior internship or full time experience working in a construction field based or related role. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, possess strong attention to detail, manage tight deadlines, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various levels of management and have proficiency in computer software skills. Experience with job cost tracking software, estimating software, and Primavera Software is highly beneficial.
