Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Services Manager, you will lead the Accounts Payable function by ensuring documents and data are accurate and correctly processed through various accounting and administrative systems according to established standards.

Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days in office, 1 day remote

Location: Diehl Rd, Naperville, IL

What You'll Do

• Provide leadership and support to administrative and operational management in regards to accounts payable

• Provide in-depth accounting support of accounts payable, vendor set-up/maintenance, and company purchasing cards. Assist in accounting support of accounts receivable

• Ensure accuracy of incoming vendor invoices and capture of invoices

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of job costing & ledger accounts

• Provide assistance to team members on processing their vendor invoices/statements

• Identify and implement process improvements/efficiencies including creating, updating and maintaining standard operating procedure manuals

• Provide weekly and monthly financial reports to accounting and operations leadership

• Assist in cross-training accounting staff

• Maintain open communications with vendors, superintendents, accounting and other staff

• Verify internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents

• Lead in the compilation of information related to internal and external audit requests and inquires relating to accounts payable

• Act as backup to the supervisor when needed

• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • 4+ years of Accounts Payable experience or fewer years of experience with a degree in Accounting/Finance

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SOX compliance, and internal controls

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment

  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice

  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
