The Real Estate Land Records & Technology SR Technical Analyst II is responsible for the development, operations, and maintenance of the Real Estate department’s technology-based systems with primary emphasis on integration of GIS and LandWorks Property Management. This position partners with the current GIS Analyst to build efficient technology solutions using advanced knowledge of IT systems and business practices. This role will also support alignment of real estate strategic goals and objectives to develop and implement both long- and short-term technology strategies, solutions and work plans that maximize productivity, reduce costs, and support increased quality for real estate deliverables.
Job Description/ Responsibilities
GIS and Technology Development, Operations & Management
Build efficient solutions using advanced knowledge of IT systems, software and business practices.
Effectively use ArcGIS software’s built in tools and scripting language to evaluate, edit, modify, and develop custom tools, interfaces and applications.
Integrate complex GIS and non-GIS data sources for graphical and tabular reporting.
Develop tools using scripting languages
Respond to client specific requests for operational support including training, questions or problem solving. Align with IT Department to troubleshoot system issues
May lead or support system upgrade and major modifications
Understand and analyze existing business goals, objectives and processes to support development of technology strategies, plans and solutions leveraging existing and new technologies:
Align with functional areas to understand business goals and objectives.
Development of project plans to support implementation of strategies and plans.
Strategize, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements
Collaborate with client to clarify project requirements and business goals
Assess and validate client’s needs
Identify and implement processes/procedures to enhance client experience
Document business and technical processes for business objectives
Provide training and expertise for end users
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, GIS or applicable field, a combination of work experience and education
7 or more years of applicable work experience
Experience in lieu of education may be considered
Advanced knowledge of IT Systems and business processes.
IT or GIS Certifications
3-5 Years GIS or applicable experience
Advanced knowledge of spatial data management, geographic coordinate systems and standard mapping principles.
Project Management Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide the ability to identify key elements, understand potential impacts and develop sound solutions.
Experience with Lean Process Improvement
