We are seeking a highly motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to join our growing team! Intern will work approximately 20 hours a week during the school year.
Nature of Work:
Provide support to finance, accounting, and other back office functions. Tasks primarily include processing transactions and maintaining entries for: accounts payable, journal entries, vendor invoices, statements, billings, or other documents. There is also potential to assist in other accounting and finance activities including month-end closings, forecasting, profitability analyses and revenue and fixed asset tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Provide accurate and timely details for accounting entry and processing.
Review and post invoices.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; may assist in reconciling accounts.
Runs and prepares routine financial reports for analysis. Perform variance analysis as requested by leadership.
Maintain and organize customer billing information to ensure invoice accuracy and integrity.
Prepare client invoices by collecting and analyzing data according to contract standards.
Special projects as assigned.

Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Aptitude for math, and proficiency with computers including strong MS Excel knowledge. MS Power BI experience is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
Process & project orientated ass you’ll be partnering to set up new processes and controls to implement efficiencies to better serve our internal & external customers.
Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
