What you will do:
Perform minor and major overhaul of centrifugal gas compressor units and related support equipment including generator units and water pump units.
Respond to equipment problems and emergency calls.
Maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Communicate information and recommendations to supervisors and company workers.
Assist in planning compressor station maintenance activities. Inventories spare equipment parts and maintains records on equipment.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
3+ years directly related experience
Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of the operation of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment such as compressors, generators and water pumps
Knowledge of computer software programs needed to support stationary equipment control systems
Knowledge of basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and to perform the four operations with decimals and fractions
Skilled in the repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Skilled in the use of industrial repair tools such as power tools, grinders, and torque wrenches
Skilled in the repair of electrical and automation equipment
Ability to identify system voltages and safely lockout/tag out electrical systems
Ability to understand and complete written and oral instructions
Ability to move or jockey a full 55-gallon drum
Ability to hear to respond to internal and external inquiries
Ability to see objects at close range and to determine the distance and relationship between objects
Ability to smell to detect natural gas
Ability to match and discriminate between colors
Ability to distinguish the nature of sounds to determine if equipment is running accurately or to hear a gas leak
Ability to respond to emergency conditions which may include: changing flat tires, chaining up vehicle, operating jack, performing minor maintenance, and operating a two-way radio
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
