Pike Corporation Project Analyst in Mount Airy, North Carolina

Position Summary: The Project Analyst works closely with Finance and Operations to enhance project analysis and reporting capabilities. Actively participate in the financial closing and consolidation process. Duties include process improvement analysis, job cost functions and analysis, revenue/margin analysis, and KPI analysis. The position offers visibility and interaction with management, including Directors in Finance and Operations. The position will require a willingness to learn, the ability to thrive in a team environment, a propensity to meet strict deadlines, a solid work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Project Accounting including, but not limited to:

o Project true-ups and maintenance

o Contract Administrator requested financial adjustments and information

o Allocation rate and standard costing maintenance

o Revenue recognition processing and analysis

o Budget versus Actual reporting and analysis

o Produce standard Oracle reporting for distribution to Operations

o Generate ad hoc reporting for Finance and Operations

o Reconciliation to General Ledger accounts

o Field external Audit requests for review, i.e. transactional project data

o Participate in the financial closing and consolidation process

o Journal entry prep and standard accruals

o Other duties and tasks as assigned

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Previous analysis/reconciliation experience

  • Experience with MS Excel advanced functions (Pivot, functions, lookups)

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills; customer service orientation
