Job Summary

Leads the initiatives associated with the implementation, maintenance and execution of the Measurement and Regulation processes and objectives. Ensures safe, reliable, compliant and cost effective service to customers in an efficient, economical manner through effective leadership of direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reliable, efficient and compliant M&R systems.

  • Effective representation with state commission staff and on various industry-related task groups and associations.

  • Work collaboratively with operations center managers.

  • Compliance with company, state and federal regulations.

  • Effective, knowledgeable M&R personnel.

  • Implementation of the latest technologies, practices and rulemakings in the Measurement and Regulation field.

  • Provide effective guidance, training, supervision and knowledge to field-based M&R personnel.

  • Assure system operations inspection and maintenance orders are completed according the planning schedule in a safe, compliant and cost effective manner.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to facilitate the safe operation and maintenance as well as other related operations issues of the Portsmouth Propane Air Plant.

  • Collaborates with engineering for the optimal design of M&R facilities.

  • Collaborate with specialists in training, technical operations and regulatory compliance to develop, write and implement M&R policies, procedures, standards and training.

  • Keep abreast of and implement the latest technologies, practices and rulemakings related to Measurement and Regulation.

  • Represent company with state commission staff members.

  • Participate on various industry-related task groups and associations.

  • Assure activities and processes are implemented to ensure the safe, reliable and cost effective system operations and delivery of service to customers.

  • Establish priorities and develop programs to obtain value-added M&R initiatives.

  • Promote effective use of technology, tools and planning techniques to improve process results.

  • Ensure the occupational and personal development of direct reports.

  • Promote and assure safe working environment and public safety.

  • Execute system operations strategies.

  • Assist in establishing and monitoring measurement, regulation, performance metrics.

  • Lead, coach and manage the development, training and evaluation of direct reports to improve individual and team performance.

  • Collaborate with manager system operations, operations center managers and budget manager in establishing and managing operations budgets to meet strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with manager to identify and develop training needs.

  • Collaborate with field construction leader(s) and senior engineer(s) to ensure compliance with engineering and construction practices.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • Minimum of five (5) years of gas operations experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of gas operations in M&R and emergency response.

  • Knowledge of company, state and federal operating codes regulations pertaining to Measurement and Regulation.

  • This position is subject to DOT Anti-Drug regulations.

  • Additional hours in excess of 40/week and/or out of town or overnight travel may be required to meet expectations for this position.

  • Successful candidate must be available at all times for emergency call out.

  • Must living within 45 minutes of the Monaca PA- Op Ctr (101 Stoney Ridge Drive Monaca, PA 15061) within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an engineering or other technical discipline) from an accredited college.

  • Supervisory experience.

  • Knowledge of operations support systems, i.e. WMS, DIS, MDT, etc.

  • Knowledge of PC applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, etc.

Salary Range:

$91,000.00 - $136,600.00
