We Energies employs engineers to help design creative and cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. We continually look for engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical or Environmental) who can evaluate, select and apply appropriate engineering techniques and practices to multiple engineering projects. Engineers provide technical support, prepare specifications and have financial responsibility for a wide variety of projects, either handling independently or leading large projects. These positions will be located in Southeastern WI, primarily at our corporate office in downtown Milwaukee.Engineers in our Electric Operations department may perform in below positions: Distribution Substation Design Engineer is responsible for the design and material specification for new substations and modifications to existing substations; responding to substation equipment failures and project management.Distribution Planning Engineer is responsible for electric distribution planning; development of load projections and capacity expansion plans, solutions for voltage and reliability concerns; performing studies for emerging issues and development/maintenance of distribution system design.Operations Support Engineer is responsible for real-time technical support to our Electric Distribution Control Center.Field Applications and Materials Engineer is responsible for evaluation and specification of distribution line materials as well as construction standards for application of these materials.Engineers in our Gas Operations department may perform in below positions: Gas System Engineering - Responsible for the planning associated with design and capacity of the gas distribution system; developing and maintaining the network analysis application for the system; project management of major natural gas pipeline projects.Gas System Operations - Responsible for specifying and developing the hardware and software associated with the company’s gas field instrumentation and controls; developing the project plan for the installation and maintenance of electronic monitoring for the company’s SCADA system. Experience with telemetry, instrumentation, and PLCs is desirable.Gas Regulatory Compliance - Responsible for managing gas manual documents to ensure code compliance, evaluating new and correcting existing gas material problems, and reviewing construction and maintenance practices for improvement opportunities.Power Generation: Power Plant engineers evaluate, select and apply appropriate engineering techniques and practices to multiple projects at our coal-fired or natural gas power plants.Environmental: Environmental engineers develop programs involving air, water and land quality related environmental processes and procedures; ensure regulatory compliance (federal and state), manage legal issues, permitting and lead emergency response team activities.Company:We Energies EEO Statement:WEC Energy Group and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
