This position will have direct responsibility and oversight for the operations engineering functions of the natural gas system including design reviews, construction practices, and project initiation.The primary role is to lead a team of Gas Operations Engineers in support of efficient construction, operation, and maintenance of the Company’s natural gas system.Specific functions include but are not limited to:• Provide strategic direction on facility lifecycle decisions, operating process improvements, and design review strategies.• Direct the project planning, scoping, design, and engineering of department initiated work.• Coordinate and communicate across several workgroups to ensure reliable operation of the natural gas system.• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to ensure appropriate prioritization and scoping of gas construction and maintenance projects.• Ensure engineering support is available and provided during emergency response activities during and after business hours.• Participate in the development of corporate standards, policies, and procedures.• Manage the performance of employees by providing feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.• Oversee the development of employees through mentoring, training, and providing learning opportunities.
