The successful Senior Network Firewall Engineer will have NERC CIP Compliance experience and execute assignments in our Compliance & Critical Infrastructure Protection area. In this role you will be responsible for preparation of documentation in support of audits, participate in cyber security and vulnerability assessments, network design, and contributing to the development of NERC CIP compliance program. You will work collaboratively with the IT Compliance Office, and will manage the operations request queue and be a subject matter expert in Checkpoint technologies who will mentor junior engineers. You must be detail oriented with good analytical and risk assessment skills, strong listening, written and computer communication skills for reporting and auditing purposes. Network certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or CCSA/CCSE are a plus. In this position you will work with some of the brightest minds in the clean energy and utility industry as they work to ensure NextEra is the largest and most capable clean energy provider in North America and the best electric utility in the world.
Job Overview This job is responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, supporting, and providing technical consultation for the communication network of the organization, as well as for the development of technical standards and interface applications. Employees in this role utilize expertise in one or more of the following: voice and data networks or wireless services.
