Sr. Master Data Management Data Engineer

Full Time

Way of Work : Remote

Salary: $77,400 - $116,200 plus annual bonus

The Sr MDM Data Engineer is responsible for building high-quality data pipelines and data repositories that support downstream analytics, reporting and application needs. The Sr MDM Data Engineer will work with business, IT and analytics peers to understand requirements for the use of the data and design optimized solutions to meet these needs. The Sr MDM Data Engineer will leverage best practices to design data products that are timely, reliable and scalable. The Sr MDM Data Engineer is a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge in their own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines​. They are able to work with limited supervision, coach & review the work of colleagues with less experience​ and solve complex problems by taking new perspective on existing solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Governance Activation Team, Business Analyst, Data Scientist, and other Business Partners & stakeholders to align data models and programming development with business needs.

  • Implement data engineering strategy for complex projects from beginning-to-end

  • Designs and deploys highly reliable, scalable and timely data products

  • Effectively communicates data engineering concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Provides system analysis, design, development, and testing

  • Find gaps and data anomalies to review with Data Quality team and other stakeholders to approve or identify next steps

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

  • Optimize query performance to ensure scalability and efficiency.

  • Create, manage and optimize data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data processing and delivery

  • Creates, designs, and implements Match & Merge rules, develop & configure trust matrix, match path, match rules​

​You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years recent (conceptual, logical, and physical) modeling

  • 3+ years building and optimizing big-data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

  • 3+ years Python and related big-data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.

  • 3+ years utilizing cloud data products in platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, GCP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both relational SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.

  • Experience with containerization and microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Familiarity with Linux and Unix
