This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business. ## Job Purpose The Manager, Gas Control Training, Compliance and Gas Scheduling will manage, ensure and establish a single point of focus and accountability with respect to the coordination of all training, compliance, gas scheduling and curtailment planning activity for the Gas Control Organization. This position will also establish a single point of accountability and standardization with respect engineering support and procedures and operating practices for the Control Centers. ## Key Accountabilities + Manage the Training Program for the Gas Control Centers. Advance the efforts to develop a rigorous, formalized and documented training process for all roles in the Gas Control Center. Lead efforts to implement CRM required training mandates including the development of SCADA Simulation + Manage all Gas Control Compliance efforts. Understand and lead all preparations, policies and procedures to insure Company compliance with CFR 192.631 Control Room Management (CRM). Lead all audit preparation and performance for State and Federal (PHMSA) requirements + Manage and lead all gas control systems operation policy into processes and procedures that drive greater efficiencies for National Grid and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and SHE + Keep regulators up to date and informed on National Grid regulatory/compliance programs in order to ensure they are managed appropriately and in line with regulatory requirements + Build effective relationships with regulators. other operators. and other areas of Operations to coordinate Training, Compliance and Gas Scheduling activities + Recruit motivate and develop a team in order to maximize flexibility and effectiveness and promote positive team working and cultural change + Promote the philosophy of safe team working and development across the work of the Gas Control Center in order to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance + Lead efforts to develop, advance staff and drill all curtailment policies, procedures and standards to prepare the Company for potential emergency operations ## Qualifications + Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred and 5+ years knowledge/experience of system operations, gas control training, compliance and control room experience OR equivalent work experience. + Knowledge of Gas System operations, SOP/switching. control. or gas distribution. load or flow analysis. contingency analysis, gas metering. LNG, pipelines. instrument and gas conditioning equipment + Knowledge of Natural Choice program, nominations, confirmation process and the Interstate Pipeline systems serving Northeast + Knowledge of Federal DOT Control Room Management requirements, knowledge of relevant regulation (FERC, DOT. NYPSC. RIPUC. MADPU and ISO-NE. ISO-NY. gas standards). + Knowledge of SCADA system for gas control + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Ability to cross-regional travel for the performance of departmental duties.
