Join our team as an Occupational Health Nurse at the New Madrid Power Plant in Marston, Missouri, and make a significant impact on employee health and safety. In this role, you will collaborate with our workforce, providing care, service, and training to promote and maintain health and wellbeing.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct assessments and perform applicable first aid for on-the-job injuries.

  • Lead case management for leave programs, accommodation requests and return to work protocol, ensuring compliance, coordinating with healthcare providers, and partnering with third-party administrators.

  • Oversee the evaluation and validation of physical and cognitive job requirements in job descriptions and other applicable documentation.

  • Provide recommendations regarding the strategy, development, and delivery of holistic wellbeing initiatives.

  • Conduct vaccine clinics, Fit Testing, Spirometry Testing, and Audiometric Testing programs and manage all corresponding records, supplies, and equipment.

  • Administer Drug-Free Workplace programs for random and reasonable suspicion testing of employees.

  • Maintain the human capital management system and other technology as it relates to assigned functions.

  • Participate in and provide feedback regarding various site teams such as Emergency Response, and safety training for employees.

What you’ll need:

  • Current Nursing License is required. An Associate degree and/or Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred. CPR certified or able to obtain and maintain within 30 days of hire.

  • Five years related experience, including making critical health decisions in emergency and daily situations. Experience in case management, disability, return to work programs, analyzing data, preparing reports and recordkeeping requirements is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to carry out a variety of activities concurrently, requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, leaders, and third-party partners.
