Summary:

Leads the daily operation of meter data collection; implements data quality assurance procedures for acquiring, validating, estimating, editing, and analyzing meter data to ensure accuracy, and completeness. Performs energy accounting, settlement, and reporting functions to support contractual or tariff requirements. Prepares SCADA data visualizations and reporting functions.

Total Rewards:

A typical starting range for this position is $73,000 - $86,000 + annually. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Manages data collection and related procedures to ensure timely, accurate, and complete revenue quality interval data critical to financial settlements.

· Prepares, analyzes, and submits accurate and timely settlement data according to tariffs, contracts, and MISO business practices, to ensure accurate financial settlements.

· Creates visualizations, reports, and responds to requests for various types of SCADA data from internal and external stakeholders with prompt customer service.

· Serves as the business subject matter expert for purchased and GRE developed software. This includes reviewing version upgrades, monitoring system performance, performing maintenance, and optimization of energy software applications.

Qualifications:

· Knowledge typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in accounting, data management or a technology type role OR a two-year degree and 5+ years of experience in accounting, data management or a technology type role.

· Knowledge of energy data management software, databases, and analytical tools commonly used in the industry, such as MV-90xi, Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) preferred.

· Knowledge of utility meter circuit hardware, software, and telecommunication connections preferred.

· Knowledge of business intelligence reporting software preferred.

· Knowledge of energy market rules and practices preferred.

· Skills and abilities to be analytical, accurate, organized and possess a high level of attention to detail.

· Advanced skill using Microsoft Excel, developing complex formulas, pivot tables, and features that allow for data analysis, transformation, and visualization.

· Skill in providing well written communications along with the ability to demonstrate strong oral communication skills.

· Ability to analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to energy consumption, production, and distribution.

· Ability to think critically and problem-solve, including identifying data quality issues, troubleshooting technical problems, and proposing solutions to optimize energy data processes.

· Ability to follow defined technical processes is crucial.

· Ability to interpret technical engineering design drawings.

· Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and establish credibility with stakeholders.

· Ability to prioritize multiple projects by utilizing strong organizational and time management skills to complete work in an efficient manner to meet established deadlines.

· Ability to appropriately maintain confidential information and exercise discretion using sound judgment.
