About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
The positions main role is to process customer payments and accurate banking transactions on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and resolving customer inquiries, issues, and requests pertaining to applications, rates, programs, billing and services. Makes recommendations on services regarding Company policies, procedures, rules, rates, and programs.
Typical Responsibilities :
Receive phone calls from customers and updating customer information.
Resolve customer issues through the research and analysis of data, reconciliation of inquiries or transactions, and utilization of computer programs/systems.
Negotiate credit arrangements; providing excellent customer service during disaster outage situations; handling sensitive customer information and issues.
Participate in special projects and coordinating activities which support Power Delivery Services.
Attend all shifts as assigned, including working overtime as needed with little to no notice.
Maintain a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
One or more years of customer service experience.
One or more years of Basic computer experience, including experience using common software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience accurately researching, analyzing and reconciling customer information, solving problems, and making sound decisions, following company policy.
One or more years of cash handling experience.
Managing multiple assignments, working well under pressure and adjusting to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Basic math skills and ability to operate a 10-key machine.
Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
Experience working independently and interfacing effectively with internal and external clients, peers, management, and other work units.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive customer information.
This is a part time position .

Schedule is: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
