Job Title: Damage Prevention Operations Coordinator

Job Summary/Purpose
Responsible for execution of locates on Entergy electrical lines and fiber, providing technical support, oversight, scheduling, monitoring, coordination, and management updates.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Oversee & monitor the safety and performance of contractors and company personnel ensuring locators work safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Ensure all facilities and assets are located on time and accurate per the established Dig Laws and in accordance with company standards and confirm with inspection.
Provide locate training at times and filling in for their supervisors when needed.
Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure scheduled work is located.
Work with management, planner schedulers, service operators, and others to prepare pre-job scope to develop work plans and determine material requirements.
Validate the contractor invoices and at times processes for payment.
Perform field observations, coaching to internal and external field employees, and performing damage investigations.
Participate in pre-job briefs and ensure locators have what they need for their ticket loads.
Coordinate material orders and deliveries, equipment inspection and assist with preparing job-specific hazard identification plans.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position.
- High School Diploma or equivalent or related work experience
Minimum experience required of the position.
- Minimum 5 years of transmission/distribution line, substation, locating, metering, or project experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position.
Technical knowledge of procedures, maintenance, and operations of transmission & distribution lines.
Knowledge of line locating is preferred but not required.
Understand and be able to communicate well with others.
Strong knowledge of computers and related technology.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Self-motivated and dependable team player.
