Provide the technical expertise and interpersonal skills to successfully perform planning, analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation relating to all WebLogic environments. Provide leadership and guidance to team members and recommendations to Information Technology and user departments for improvements to systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The WebLogic Administrator manages all on-premise WebLogic instances and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Implements ansible automations for maintenance and changes on environments and servers. Ensures environments are patched and up-to-date with quarterly releases. Maintains high availability, load balancing, and overall health of environments.
Debugs production performance issues.
Performs setup and maintenance of OEM to monitor WebLogic servers and specific tasks to manage overall health.
Provides strategic planning for existing and future systems, applications, and programs. Provides research and recommendations for improvements of existing systems, applications, and programs.
Provides expert leadership, training, and knowledge transfer to other programmers and analysts and assists them in their professional development.
Provides timely expert support and resolution implementation by investigating production issues and delivering written specifications and recommendations.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned and requested.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Five or more years of:
WebLogic and OEM system administration and patching.
Unix and shell scripting.
Expert knowledge of middleware and integration architecture.
Expert analysis and problem-solving skills.
Able to recognize repetitive processes and find a way to automate.
Able to communicate in an effective, successful, and personal manner across multiple areas.
Be an initiative leader.
Able to cross technical boundaries.
Expert knowledge of a variety of, but not limited to, databases or file structures, programming languages, productivity or development tools, and/or understanding of environments (web, client, server, etc.).
