Digital Marketing Associate

We are seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and digital marketing experience to join our Corporate Communications team. This highly motivated and creative individual will support the development of meaningful marketing campaigns that promote new products and services across all customer segments and will help to build awareness for our brand. This position combines content development and multichannel marketing experience to drive customer engagement with your community energy company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with implementation of marketing campaigns to promote and support MGE's programs, products and services, and corporate brand.
Works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and a cross-functional team in concepting marketing plans, including creative development with both in-house graphic designers and vendors; helps to organize necessary resources and adheres to deadlines to ensure on-time campaign fulfillment.
Gathers and organizes campaign analytics to help manage and optimize multichannel marketing opportunities; assists with the development of measurement plans and target metrics for media buys.
Understands emerging industry technologies, trends and opportunities that will drive performance metrics, including traffic to MGE's family of websites and other media, and to amplify overall brand awareness and customer engagement.
Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external marketing partners, media and community partners.
Reports timely feedback to Digital Marketing Manager and project team on metrics related to campaigns/media buys.
Assists with corporate sponsorships to reach various customer segments by helping to coordinate related deliverables, including the organization of necessary resources for MGE's presence at community events when needed.
Assists with needs for promotional products, signage and banners for community events and sponsorships, employee and other events.
Assists in the coordination of MGE's community education programming in collaboration with our internal and external partners.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Digital Media, Communications or a related field required.
Three to five years of marketing/advertising experience with a primary focus on digital marketing.
Knowledge and Skills
Solid knowledge of the overall media landscape, including traditional media resources but with special emphasis on digital tools such as email, social media, search and display, both web-based and mobile.
Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Background in creative design, copywriting, branding or marketing communications.
Understanding of brand strategy.
Ability to write advertising copy for print, digital and social media.
Strong writing and proofreading skills.
Experience in using data analytics to synthesize information into actionable insights.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
Multitasker, comfortable managing multiple campaigns.
Strong customer service lens.
Multicultural marketing experience a plus.
Experience with Basis by Centro, Google Ads and Google Analytics, Facebook or other social media advertising, Oracle's Customer Experience (CX) and Microsoft 365 tools a plus.
