BWXT is currently seeking a Financial Analyst its Lynchburg, VA location!
Responsible for annual Corporate budgeting process.
Prepare monthly analyses of actual costs versus budget and investigate variances.
Assist with producing month-end, quarter-end and year-end close materials in a short-time frame with a high level of accuracy.
Assist with creating Senior Management presentations for the Board of Directors and Subcommittee meetings.
Active participation in ad-hoc financial projects across financial disciplines.
Support internal and external auditors.
Assist in SOX control testing.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Professional accounting desgination (CFA or CPA) is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years of prior work experience with an auditing firm or public company in role related to auditing, accounting, or finance. Experience with SAP or BPC is preferred.
Must have demonstratable knowledge and skills in current computer technology including Microsost Office. SAP or other ERP experience is preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment, but the ability to work independently is required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
Ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely written and verbal communication.
Ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
